So Many Dinos!
So if you've been following me on Instagram, you will have noticed my latest crochet obsession, DINOSAURS!
A few months back my coworker sent me a reel on Instagram that had these really cute crochet dinosaurs in it. Not only that, but she also discovered that the patterns were available for free on TheNicoleChase.com. We were both super excited. She got started on one for her son for Easter, and I got started on one, for no reason other than I had A LOT of yarn and was trying to use some up in an attempt to save some money.
Cut to a month later, I had used up tons of yarn and made 10 dinosaurs!
First up was the triceratops! I looked through my tubs of yarn to see what colors I had available, and very early on decided I would try and mix patterned yarns, with solid yarns. Over the years I had collected way too much patterned yarn, and honestly had no real plan for it (shout out to my fellow yarn hoarders).
Take a look at the first dinosaur I made and you'll see why I wanted to make so many more...
While Tanner the Triceratops is my favorite, I also really liked making Toby the Tarbosaurus. One of the things I enjoyed doing was making matching sets. Usually this meant that they shared the same patterned yarn, and had a complimentary body color. I also tried making inverted sets (which I loved). They looked so cute together!
